Hamas leader Abdul Rahman Shadeed:

▪The escalation of settlers’ crimes and terrorism in the occupied West Bank, most recently at dawn today, Tuesday, the burning of parts of a mosque in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, confirms the fascist approach of the الاحتلال and the gangs of its settlers protected by the occupation government.

▪The repeated burning of mosques in the West Bank, assaults on them, raids on shrines, and abuse of our Palestinian people everywhere will turn into popular anger against the occupation and its gangs.

▪The arson crimes carried out by settlers, which have targeted around 11 mosques since the beginning of the year in the West Bank, are a disregard for the feelings of millions of Muslims, as part of the occupation’s open religious war against our people, our land, and our holy sites, and require a firm stance from the Islamic nation to stop the occupation and its crimes against Muslim holy sites, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

▪We call on our Palestinian people in the West Bank to remain steadfast and to activate all means of protection for their land and holy sites, and we affirm that the occupation’s crimes and those of its settlers will not deter Palestinians from staying on their land and defending their right.
