Civil Defense in Gaza Governorate:

▪ We were able to recover 55 bodies and remains of martyrs who were lost under the rubble of a building belonging to the "Malka" family in the Zeitoun area, after it had been inhabited by several dozen people who had taken refuge there as displaced persons out of fear of Israeli bombardment about two years ago.

▪ Rescue teams are searching for the third consecutive day for more than sixty bodies of the Malka family, and have been able to recover most of them so that they can be buried together in a unified funeral procession at the beginning of next week.

▪ Our teams face major challenges in the work of recovering the martyrs due to the limited availability of equipment and heavy machinery, and we call on humanitarian international organizations and institutions to intensify their efforts to provide excavators, bulldozers, and multiple modern trucks, so that they can recover the largest possible number of bodies missing under the destroyed buildings.
