Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem:

▪ The escalation of statements by ministers in the occupation government regarding the continued adoption of plans to displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip represents a highly dangerous development, and reveals that the occupation has not abandoned this plan, and is seeking to relaunch and promote it in a way that serves its political and electoral calculations.

▪ These statements explain the occupation’s continued war on the Gaza Strip, the tightening of the siege, policies of starvation and thirst, obstructing reconstruction, and preventing the entry of materials and supplies necessary for the health sector, in an attempt to impose a harsh humanitarian and living reality that pushes toward implementing displacement plans.

▪ We call on Arab and Islamic states to take serious and unified action to confront these plans and to adopt effective positions and measures to foil them, and we affirm that they pose a direct threat to the Palestinian cause and to Arab and Islamic national security.

▪ We affirm that a unified and firm Arab and Islamic position is capable of blocking the occupation’s plans and the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land.
