Eizenkot wants to maintain some kind of broad security zones in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, similar to Netanyahu and former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, but at the same time he has a set of his own ideas to improve Israel's security and diplomatic situation

If Netanyahu's government uses the issue of Hamas being fully disarmed as a precondition for rebuilding Gaza, Eizenkot is ready, according to the newspaper, to accept the spirit of the American agreement that allows partial disarmament to lead to partial reconstruction measures.

Eizenkot believes that this will deprive Hamas of the excuses, which he says Netanyahu provides it, to refuse cooperation.
