Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal:

▪ Our crews have recovered about 650 bodies since the ceasefire in the sector.

▪ Crews continue to work in the affected areas to reach the bodies of the martyrs and lift them from under the rubble.

▪ Work is still ongoing within the second project to recover bodies, in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Egyptian committee.

▪ Planning is continuing to implement new projects and phases in cooperation with the Red Cross to continue searching for and recovering the bodies of the martyrs.

▪ About 8,000 people are still missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings in the sector.

▪ We call on the international community and the relevant parties to move urgently and provide the heavy equipment and resources necessary to continue search and recovery operations and reach the largest possible number of bodies trapped under the rubble.
