▪The world has followed with intense anger what the documentary film «NAZA», shown at the Venice International Film Festival, revealed through direct testimonies from 24 intelligence elements and officers in the Zionist army, regarding the targeting and bombardment mechanisms in the Gaza Strip, and the serious admissions it included concerning the killing of Palestinian civilians.
▪The importance of these testimonies stems from the fact that they came from people who worked within the Zionist military and security establishment and participated in surveillance and targeting systems, and from what they revealed about the use of the term «NAZA» to refer to the «civilians expected to be killed» in attacks, and about remote bombardment systems and methods; which requires a serious and independent international investigation, and the documentation of these testimonies within investigations related to war crimes and ethnic cleansing committed against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
▪The wide international response the film received at the Venice Festival, and the continuous standing ovation for 25 minutes, reflect the great impact these testimonies had, and the importance of the role of journalism and documentary cinema in revealing the facts and breaking attempts at Zionist denial and misinformation, and the importance of these investigations in conveying the suffering of the victims to global public opinion.
▪We call on the International Criminal Court, the UN bodies, and the relevant human rights institutions to document the testimonies and information contained in the film, and to benefit from them in the paths of investigation and accountability, and to confirm the war of extermination and the crimes of ethnic cleansing committed by the Zionist occupation army, and to take effective steps to protect Palestinian civilians and stop the ٧٠ جعة violations against them.
▪What «NAZA» revealed should not remain merely material for viewing and sympathy, but should become an additional motive for investigation and accountability, redressing the victims, and ensuring that those responsible for war crimes, genocide, and violations do not escape accountability.
