Health Information Center Director Zahir Al-Wahidi:

▪Gaza Strip is facing a severe health crisis that is pushing the health system toward a path amounting to systematic mass execution, surpassing the limits of humanitarian catastrophe to a fully fledged crime of health genocide.

▪Health facilities have turned into isolated structures slowly dying as a result of the ongoing siege and the prevention of the entry of basic necessities of life.

▪Israeli claims about facilitating the entry of aid and supplies appear to be an untrue claim and a spectacle aimed at polishing the face of genocide and covering up the war of ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.

▪The available inputs represent only a tiny percentage that does not meet the minimum operational needs of health facilities, leaving them struggling between life and death.

▪Hospitals are suffering from a severe shortage of fuel, oils, and spare parts needed to operate the remaining main generators, with more than 70% of them out of service, threatening the suspension of life-critical departments at any moment.

▪The siege and the prevention of the entry of spare parts and car tires led public transport companies to announce an almost complete halt to work today, depriving hundreds of medical staff of reaching their workplaces and isolating hospitals from the ability to respond to emergencies.

▪This coincides with an unprecedented shortage of medicines and consumables, the shutdown of diagnostic devices, and the closure of treatment outlets abroad for patients and wounded people on waiting lists.

▪We call on the international community, the Security Council, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and all international and human rights institutions to move immediately to bring in the necessary medical and operational supplies.

▪History will not forgive the silent; contenting oneself with concern and condemnation is no longer merely moral failure, but an explicit complicity in a crime of genocide being committed openly in broad daylight.
