Social Development in Gaza:

▪We confirm that the tragedy that claimed the lives of a number of displaced persons and the loss of dozens at dawn today under a building that was about to collapse in Gaza City is a direct result of the occupation’s policy of preventing the entry of mobile homes, tents, and safe shelter equipment.

▪More than 100 displaced persons, including women and children, were forced to live in a building that was about to collapse after the occupation destroyed their original homes, and they found no safe alternative due to the closure of the crossings and the prevention of the entry of shelter supplies.

▪The occupation’s expansion of the yellow line forced citizens to flee and live in destroyed and collapsing houses and homes.

▪We hold the international community responsible for the slow entry of the equipment necessary to protect citizens and remove rubble, and we call on it to pressure the occupation to provide funding and allow the entry of equipment and shelter supplies into the Gaza Strip.
