Wafa Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation and Specialized Surgery in Gaza Administration:

▪ Temporary suspension of work in a number of basic services at the hospital, including outpatient clinics, surgical operations, outpatient physical therapy, outpatient occupational therapy, speech services, and outpatient swallowing problems.

▪ We warn of an operational and humanitarian crisis that has reached a very dangerous stage and has become threatening to the hospital's ability to continue providing its medical and rehabilitation services to patients, wounded people, and persons with disabilities.

▪ The hospital is considered one of the most important treatment and rehabilitation institutions in the Gaza Strip and provides medical, rehabilitation, and specialized services to thousands of citizens and wounded people, and receives monthly large numbers of patients and visitors, many of whom depend on the continuity of these services.

▪ We are currently facing a severe shortage of diesel and fuel necessary to operate generators and vehicles, along with increasing difficulties in providing oils, tires, spare parts, and essential maintenance supplies needed to continue operating vehicles, equipment, and basic services.

▪ In light of these circumstances, we were forced to temporarily suspend a number of outpatient services and surgical operations in an attempt to preserve the remaining available resources and direct them toward inpatient services and essential medical services that cannot be dispensed with.

▪ We make an urgent appeal to the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and all health, humanitarian, and supporting institutions to intervene immediately and help provide fuel, oils, spare parts, and urgent operational needs, enabling the hospital to restore its suspended services and ensure the continuity of basic services for patients and wounded people.

▪ The continuation of this crisis without urgent intervention may lead to further reductions in services and threatens the hospital's ability to continue carrying out its medical and humanitarian mission at a time when the need for treatment and rehabilitation services in the Gaza Strip is increasing.

▪ We hope that this appeal reaches all concerned parties and is translated into an urgent intervention that ensures the continued service of this health institution to patients, wounded people, and persons with disabilities.
