Government Media Office in Gaza: ▪After one year since the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect, Israeli policies confirmed the continued disregard of commitments and the continuation of practices that worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Strip. ▪The humanitarian and relief situation in Gaza has become tragic, and we warn of serious repercussions threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, especially with the approach of winter. ▪The most prominent violations and humanitarian conditions include: - The occupation committed 5,147 violations of the agreement over the past year, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,421 citizens, the injury of 4,983 others, and the arrest of 198 citizens. - The occupation allowed the entry of only 72,826 trucks, out of 210,600 humanitarian, relief and reconstruction-material trucks that were supposed to enter in accordance with the agreement, at a compliance rate of less than 35%. - Only 13,785 travelers were allowed to leave, out of 35 thousand travelers who were supposed to travel to and from the Gaza Strip, at a compliance rate that did not exceed 39%. - The population of the Strip has been living for three years in a reality of widespread destruction, amid targeting of the health and education systems and infrastructure, in addition to restrictions imposed on the humanitarian situation and a policy of starvation. - We warn of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe with the approach of winter, as more than 1.5 million displaced persons live in dilapidated tents, and the total number of tents in the Strip is about 270 thousand tents, including 162 thousand worn-out tents unfit for use, at a rate exceeding 60%. - The existence of more than 255 cracked buildings that are at risk of collapse, and we warn of the fall of new victims, and the recurrence of incidents of collapse of damaged buildings. ▪We call on the international community and UN and international organizations to intervene urgently, and exert effective pressure to stop the shelling and protect civilians, and to obligate the occupation to open the crossings and allow patients and the wounded to travel for treatment. ▪We call for providing the basic necessities of life, stopping restrictions on the entry of aid, and urgently bringing in winter relief supplies, to avoid serious humanitarian repercussions during the winter season.
