Gaza Ministry of Health:

▪With the arrival of "Pink October," dedicated globally to awareness of breast cancer and support for those affected by it, breast cancer patients in the Gaza Strip are living in a catastrophic health and humanitarian reality that strips away the most basic essentials of medical care and their right to treatment.

▪Screening and early diagnosis services have become extremely limited and, in effect, suspended, due to the severe shortage and ongoing malfunctions in radiography (mammogram) devices and the absence of solutions and laboratory supplies, depriving women of the chance of early detection.

▪The treatment system for breast cancer patients is suffering from an almost complete absence of approved treatment protocols; care departments are struggling with the unavailability of chemotherapy drugs and hormonal and targeted therapies, in addition to the total disruption of radiotherapy services inside the Strip and the suspension of advanced tumor removal operations due to the lack of specialized medical capabilities.

▪Before the war of extermination, about 360 new breast cancer cases were recorded annually, and with the collapse of the early detection and diagnosis system, what is being recorded in the registers no longer necessarily reflects what is happening on the ground.

▪In 2024, 250 cases were diagnosed and in 2025 about 260 cases, while based on pre-war rates, more than one thousand new cases were expected over about three years.

▪This painful reality compounds their suffering amid movement restrictions and the closure of crossings, preventing hundreds of emergency cases from traveling to receive treatment in specialized cancer centers outside the Strip.

▪We direct an urgent appeal to international and UN health and humanitarian organizations to act and provide treatment protocols and chemotherapy and hormonal drugs for cancer patients immediately and sustainably.

▪We call for the crossings to be opened and for travel procedures for cancer patients to be facilitated, whose lives depend on radiotherapy or surgery unavailable in Gaza.

▪We call for the provision of diagnostic devices and equipment and for the entry of medical devices and spare parts necessary to operate early breast cancer detection units.

▪The most dangerous thing we face today is not only the number of patients who have been diagnosed, but the number of women who may have the disease without being able to detect it early.

▪The message in Pink October from Gaza is not just an awareness campaign, but a humanitarian cry for help to save the lives of patients fighting death amid the absence of the basic necessities for treatment.

Ministry of Social Development in Gaza: On October 1 of every year, the world celebrates the International Day of Older Persons, reaffirming the importance of appreciating their contributions, promoting their rights and dignity, and ensuring their effective participation in various aspects of life.

Ministry of Social Development in Gaza: ▪ On October 1 of every year, the world celebrates the International Day of Older Persons, reaffirming the importance of appreciating their contributions, promoting their rights and dignity, and ensuring their effective participation in various aspects of life. ▪ Older persons in the Gaza Strip are living through extremely difficult humanitarian, psychological, and economic conditions amid the continuation of the war and its catastrophic effects, as they are among the most vulnerable groups affected by the collapse of the health care system, repeated displacement, and psychological distress resulting from loss and the breakdown of social bonds. ▪ Marking the International Day of Older Persons in Gaza should not be limited to words, but should be a call to action to protect their dignity and provide them with the necessary care and protection, especially in times of crisis. ▪ Older persons in the Gaza Strip make up about 5% (approximately 118,552 older persons), including 4,412 martyrs (killed) and 18,644 wounded, with 48,830 older persons inside shelter centers compared with 67,443 outside them. ▪ We affirm our commitment to continuing to care for older persons and protect them from neglect and isolation, and to strengthening their status in society despite the difficult conditions and limited capabilities. ▪ We affirm their inherent right to live in safety and dignity, and to provide a supportive environment that meets their appropriate health, psychological, and social needs in line with their specific conditions. ▪ We call for urgent protection for older persons whose lives face direct dangers as a result of the ongoing shelling and escalation on the Strip. ▪ We call on international, humanitarian, and health organizations to assume their responsibilities and intervene quickly to provide treatment and vital medicines, especially for those suffering from chronic diseases. ▪ We call for the provision of sustainable humanitarian mechanisms to care for them and secure their basic needs inside and outside shelter centers in a manner that suits their physical and psychological conditions. ▪ We renew our commitment to working to safeguard their dignity and rights, and to ensure they receive support to strengthen their resilience in the face of harsh conditions and preserve their social role. ▪ Every year, may older persons in Palestine, and in the Gaza Strip in particular, be well, safe, and dignified.

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas: On the 11th anniversary of the Jerusalem Intifada: the occupation’s violations and those of its settlers will not undermine the determination of our people and their steadfastness on their land

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas: ▪On the 11th anniversary of the Jerusalem Intifada: the occupation’s violations and those of its settlers will not undermine the determination of our people and their steadfastness on their land, and we urge the international community to assume its responsibilities to condemn and hold the occupation authorities accountable. ▪The Palestinian people are recalling, in the present memory, the 11th anniversary of the Jerusalem Intifada, which erupted after settlers burned the Dawabsha family in Nablus Governorate, while the occupation authorities and extremists continue escalating their attacks against the city of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and our people in the rest of the occupied territories. ▪The Jerusalem Intifada, which began on October 1, 2015, will remain a steadfast struggle milestone in the Palestinian consciousness t Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas: ▪On the 11th anniversary of the Jerusalem Intifada: the occupation’s crimes and those of its settlers will not break our people’s will and steadfastness on their land, and we call on the international community to bear its responsibilities in criminalizing the occupation government and punishing it. ▪Our Palestinian people recall in their living memory the 11th anniversary of the Jerusalem Intifada, whose sparks were ignited after settlers burned the Dawabsha family in Nablus Governorate, at a time when the fascist occupation government and Zionist extremists are escalating their crimes and violations against the city of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and against our people throughout our occupied lands. ▪The Jerusalem Intifada, on October 1, 2015, will remain a firm struggle milestone in the memory of our people, in which national cohesion was embodied in response to that heinous crime, in renewed proof that the blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain no matter how long time passes, and that any violation of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa will be met with more steadfastness and struggle until the occupation is driven out and removed from our land and our holy sites. ▪The blood of our noble martyrs, which was shed because of the terrorism and aggression of the occupation and its Zionist extremists, constitutes fully fledged crimes that will remain a witness to its sadism and fascism, and that the occupation’s continued escalation of its aggression against our land, our people, and our holy sites will not, and will never, succeed in breaking our people’s will or extinguishing the flame of steadfastness, resilience, and the defense of its legitimate rights. ▪In light of this escalating criminality by the fascist occupation government in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem, we call on the international community, states and organizations, to assume their political, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities to put an end to this Zionist terrorism threatening international peace, security, and stability, and to work seriously to criminalize the occupation government, isolate it, and try its leaders as war criminals. ▪We pray for the souls of the martyrs (killed) of our noble people, and we ask God Almighty for recovery for the wounded and injured, and freedom for the prisoners and detainees in the enemy’s prisons, and greetings of pride and honor to all our steadfast and stationed people in Palestine and abroad, and a pledge of loyalty to continue the struggle until achieving our people’s aspirations for the liberation of the land and the holy sites.
