In another assassination this week (Tuesday) in the Jabalia area, the Israeli army killed Musab Abdul Jalil al-Balbisi, a commander in the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Al-Balbisi had raided Israeli territory in the 7 October attack. The two had recently been seeking to carry out military actions against Israeli army forces and Israeli citizens, in a blatant violation of the ceasefire. They were killed by airstrike to remove the threat they posed.

▪We call for broad popular participation in the events scheduled for Friday, in support of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which begin with the “Great Dawn” campaign and performing prayer in its courtyards; affirming adherence to Al-Aqsa, and rejecting the ongoing escalation and Judaization measures against the holy sites. ▪Presence in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and participation in the events, send a clear message affirming the status and centrality of Jerusalem for our Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nations. ▪We stress the importance of intensifying presence in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and call on the people of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the people of the Palestinian interior who are able to reach it to revive it with prayer and strengthen the popular presence in its courtyards. ▪We call on scholars, mosque preachers, and community institutions to be at the forefront of participants and those calling for participation, and to intensify their efforts to mobilize the masses, introduce them to the status of Al-Aqsa, and encourage them to participate in events supporting Jerusalem and the holy sites. ▪We call on the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation, and the governments, parliaments, and Arab, Islamic, and international organizations, to assume their responsibilities toward Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and to move at various levels to stop the attacks and measures aimed at Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque and imposing control over it.
