Member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Jerusalem Affairs Office in the Hamas movement, Haroun Nasser Al-Din:

▪ We warn of the danger of the الاحتلال's imposition of the Zionist educational curriculum on students in occupied Jerusalem, and we consider this part of a systematic project aimed at molding consciousness and entrenching the occupation. We affirm that our people and our children in Jerusalem are stronger than all attempts at erasure and Judaization.

▪ By imposing its curriculum, the الاحتلال will not be able to impose its narrative on our students, and we affirm that the Palestinian identity in Jerusalem is deeper than to be erased by imposed curricula or by the الاحتلال's measures and policies.

▪ All policies of Judaization, settlement, land confiscation, house demolitions, and curriculum changes will not grant the الاحتلال any right in Jerusalem, and will not succeed in uprooting the city from its roots or separating its people from their present and history.

▪ The school, the book, and awareness are essential pillars in the battle for Jerusalem and the ongoing conflict with the الاحتلال. We stress that protecting education in Jerusalem is a national responsibility that requires the broadest official, popular, and institutional support.

▪ We call on educational and community institutions and parents to protect the awareness of Jerusalem's children, strengthen their connection to their city's history, culture, and Islamic and national identity, and confront attempts to erase the Palestinian memory or separate generations from their Arab and Palestinian extension.
