Al-Arabid family:

▪ We mourn the souls of our people who were killed during this crime, and we extend to their families our sincere condolences and sympathy, affirming that their loss is our loss, and that Palestinian blood is one. We also mourn the martyred family daughter Samah "Umm Muhammad", the wife of Muin al-Arabid, who was killed during the events while supporting her husband in confronting the special force.

▪ We affirm that what our son Mr. Muin al-Arabid was subjected to, in terms of being targeted and abducted, constitutes a serious crime and an assault that requires investigation and accountability. It also constitutes a serious violation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a direct threat to the lives of civilians. We hold the occupation authorities fully responsible for the life of our son and his physical and psychological safety, and for the conditions of his detention since the moment of his abduction.

▪ We affirm that our son Muin Ahmad al-Arabid works in a security apparatus with civil tasks represented in maintaining security and social peace, confronting security chaos, addressing internal disputes and problems, protecting citizens and public and private property, and securing civil facilities and institutions.

▪ The apparatus also plays its role in protecting international and humanitarian institutions operating in the Gaza Strip, securing their headquarters, staff, and property, and contributing to providing the conditions necessary for them to continue their work and provide services to citizens.

▪ Working in a security apparatus of a police and civilian nature does not make its holder a military target merely because of his job title, and international humanitarian law guarantees the protection of civilian objects. Accordingly, we reject any attempt to use our son’s job title as a pretext to justify targeting or abducting him.

▪ We categorically reject the narratives and claims promoted by the الاحتلال that aim to justify the crime and cover up the circumstances of the operation, and we warn against its attempts to exploit what happened to stir internal disputes, strike the Palestinian social fabric, and spread security chaos among our people and their families. We affirm that our people and their families are more aware than for these attempts to succeed in undermining their unity and cohesion.

▪ We call on the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently move to reveal the place where our son Muin al-Arabid is being held, check on his health, physical and psychological condition, work to visit him, and provide the family with clear and reliable information about the circumstances of his detention.

▪ We remind that the international and humanitarian institutions operating in the Gaza Strip carried out their duties over the past years under the protection and security provided by the Palestinian civil and security الأجهزة, which contributed to protecting their headquarters, staff, and property, and preventing attacks on them or tampering with them.

▪ From here, we expect from these institutions a responsible position regarding the detention of one of the workers in the apparatus that played a role in providing security and protection for its work inside the Strip.

▪ We call on Palestinian, Arab, and international human rights institutions, and institutions specialized in the affairs of prisoners and detainees, to open an urgent legal file for our son’s case, follow up on the circumstances of his detention and interrogation, and work to ensure that he is not subjected to torture or cruel or degrading treatment.

▪ We also call on them to make every possible effort to obtain official information about his health condition and place of detention, and to enable his lawyer, his family, and the competent humanitarian bodies to follow up on him.

▪ The Al-Arabid family extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all our Palestinian people, and to the families, clans, dignitaries, personalities, and national and community institutions that stood by the family and supported it in its ordeal. This broad solidarity formed an authentic national message affirming that our people stand by one another in hardship, and that the bonds of blood and الوطن are stronger than all attempts to sow division and discord.
