Palestinian Center for the Defense of Prisoners:

▪ The return of Red Cross visits is an important step, but it is of no value if it is merely formal or limited to specific prisoners and prisons.

▪ The priority is to uncover the fate of the disappeared and missing, especially Gaza detainees, whose families do not know their whereabouts or conditions.

▪ The Red Cross must be allowed access to all places of detention, including camps and undisclosed facilities.

▪ Visits must ensure private and individual meetings with prisoners, and a genuine review of their health conditions and detention circumstances.

▪ The sick, the injured, the isolated, female prisoners, children, and Gaza detainees must be at the forefront of the visits.

▪ The return of the Red Cross must be followed by the resumption of family visits, especially for the families of prisoners from the Gaza Strip.

▪ There can be no normal return to humanitarian work as long as prisoners remain isolated from their families, and other families do not know the fate of their sons.

▪ The required step is to break the blackout over the prisons, reveal the fate of the disappeared, reach all prisoners, and restore communication with their families.
