Gaza Ministry of Social Development:

▪ The occupation’s claim that hunger in Gaza has ended is a distortion of reality and a cover-up for the humanitarian catastrophe.

▪ The occupation bears responsibility for deepening the crisis because of the restrictions and failure to comply with bringing in 600 aid trucks daily.

▪ The presence of some food items in the markets does not mean the end of hunger or the availability of sufficient, varied and regular food.

▪ We call on relief institutions, especially the World Food Programme, to review the quality and quantities of aid and the mechanisms for its distribution.

▪ We stress the need to take into account the needs of children, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities and the most vulnerable groups.

▪ We call on the media and the international community to rely on field data and intensify efforts to ensure the delivery of varied and good aid to those entitled to it.
