▪The occupation continues to prevent the entry of flour and food supplies into the Gaza Strip for several days. ▪10 commercial bakeries have stopped operating out of a total of 17 bakeries due to the depletion of flour, amid warnings that the remaining bakeries could close within 48 hours. ▪No quantities of commercial flour have entered the Strip for more than 10 days, despite the occupation's announcement of reopening the way for the entry of commercial trucks. ▪The 21 bakeries supported by the World Food Programme produce about 150 tons of bread, but this amount meets only one quarter of the Strip's needs. ▪The shortage of flour and the depletion of stocks warn of a severe crisis in the availability of bread and disruption in the markets. ▪The occupation imposes its control over the crossings, while evading its commitments to allow the entry of at least 600 trucks daily of aid and goods under the ceasefire protocol.
