Egyptian Committee: Flour Trucks Begin Moving to Gaza to Support Bakeries and Ease Bread Crisis
The Egyptian committee in the Gaza Strip announced the start of moving trucks loaded with flour into the Strip, amid the severe shortage of this commodity and the rise in bread prices.
It explained that the step aims to support bakeries and enhance their ability to continue operating, and to contribute to providing bread to citizens at affordable prices, and to limit exploitation of their needs and unjustified price increases.
It confirmed that this step comes within Egyptian humanitarian efforts to support Palestinian families, and to continue bringing in aid and basic supplies to alleviate the suffering of residents.
The committee stressed the continuation of its field and humanitarian activity in cooperation with the relevant authorities and the United Nations system, to meet urgent needs and respond to citizens' appeals, affirming that the people of Gaza are not alone, and that Egypt will remain a supporter of the Palestinian people.
