Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas:

▪The storming by the extremist criminal Itamar Ben Gvir and several candidates for the Knesset elections, accompanied by crowds of settlers, of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, represents a brazen election spectacle at the expense of our holy sites, a disregard for the feelings of Muslims, and an assault on the status and sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, whose identity and our people's right to it the aggression and terror of the occupation will not succeed in changing.

▪The coincidence of the incursions with the approaching Knesset elections reveals the seriousness of what Al-Aqsa Mosque is facing, as the occupation is trying to turn it into a platform for political outbidding and electoral competition, while our Palestinian people are paying the price for these practices with their blood, rights, land, and holy sites.

▪We call on our Palestinian people to intensify their presence and steadfastness at Al-Aqsa Mosque, support the people of Jerusalem, and strengthen their resilience in the face of incursions and attempts to impose a new Judaizing reality, and we stress the need to act at all levels to protect the holy sites and confront settlers' schemes.

▪We call on our Arab and Islamic nation and on religious and human rights institutions to unite efforts to keep the issue of Al-Aqsa at the forefront of attention, and to launch broad support movements to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, as protecting the holy sites requires a continuous practical stance and action on all levels to restrain the occupation from its aggression against our land, our people, and our holy sites.
