Director General of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Amjad Al-Najjar: More than 15 Palestinian institutions in the West Bank are being targeted and shut down by the Israeli occupation authorities. المدير العام لنادي الأسير الفلسطيني أمجد النجار: ▪More than 15 Palestinian institutions in the West Bank are being targeted and shut down by the Israeli occupation authorities. ▪When raiding Palestinian institutions, occupation forces seize all of their contents, including chairs, cabinets, sofas and tables, as well as computers, documents, papers and certificates that document Israeli violations against Palestinians over years. ▪Occupation forces have completely emptied some offices and left nothing of their contents inside. ▪The targeting of Palestinian institutions and associations working in the field of human rights and documenting Israeli crimes comes within an approach aimed at their rights work. ▪These institutions are in contact with several international organizations and issue regular reports documenting the scale of violations. ▪The raid on the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association in Ramallah last Tuesday, the seizure of its contents and the pursuit of its staff, along with the raid on the Commission of Detainees' Affairs in Salfit and other Palestinian institutions and associations, reflects a policy that has continued since before the war on Gaza. ▪The targeting is not limited to raids and seizure of property, but also includes the freezing of bank accounts, pursuing workers in rights institutions, arresting them, and placing dozens of them under administrative detention without charge or trial. ▪Many appeals were made to the United Nations and international organizations to demand protection for human rights workers inside Palestinian institutions and associations, but these appeals did not achieve the required results. ▪The occupation authorities are annoyed by international positions and the efforts made by rights organizations, which drives them to intensify targeting of Palestinian institutions that work to document and expose violations. They threatened to bomb his family if he did not go up to the roof of the house… then they killed him with a drone, according to the account reported.
