When they were besieged in their home, his wife was in her last month of pregnancy. Prisoners’ Media Office: We confirm that Gaza prisoners in Ganot Prison were subjected to a brutal assault on the anniversary of October 7
Prisoners’ Media Office: ▪We confirm that Gaza prisoners in Ganot Prison were subjected to a brutal assault on the anniversary of October 7, which included random firing of rubber bullets, spraying gas and pepper spray, beating with sticks and batons, and bringing police dogs into their rooms. ▪The assault resulted in several prisoners suffering broken hands and one prisoner sustaining burns after being hit by a grenade in his hand, while another prisoner, who has vision problems, had his glasses broken, in addition to being infected with scabies and boils. ▪The suppression forces beat one prisoner on his previously injured leg, which had metal plates «platinum» installed, causing severe pain, without responding to his request to be taken to the clinic, despite his need for medical care. ▪Prisoners infected with scabies and boils were also beaten, causing the boils to open and blood to flow from their bodies, which increased their suffering. ▪The assault was accompanied by depriving the prisoners of breakfast, delaying lunch until late, and preventing them from entering the bathroom. ▪We confirm that these assaults are repeated on the anniversary of October 7 amid an escalation that coincides with the approaching occupation elections. ▪We hold the occupation fully responsible for the lives and safety of the prisoners and call for urgent intervention to stop the brutal assaults, ensure treatment for the injured, and provide their basic needs.
