Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine: We mourn the martyrs Ashraf Dahlan, Shadi Abu Atiya and Sami Baroud, employees of the Islamic University security staff
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine: ▪We mourn the martyrs Ashraf Dahlan, Shadi Abu Atiya and Sami Baroud, employees of the Islamic University security staff, who were killed while on duty, and extend our deepest condolences to their families, the university administration, and their female and male colleagues. ▪The Israeli occupation’s targeting of the university with two airstrikes, coinciding with the start of regular in-person classes, represents an attack on efforts toward social recovery in the Gaza Strip, the restoration of its educational and national institutions, and the resumption of the educational process. ▪We call on academic and educational institutions around the world to stand in solidarity with the universities of the Gaza Strip, which are facing a systematic Israeli targeting that affects educational institutions and the conditions for their continuity, as part of the comprehensive war of extermination on the Palestinian presence in the Strip. ▪We call on free people of the world to escalate solidarity action and pressure governments to take serious positions and measures that put an end to the occupation’s crimes, the war of extermination, and the plans of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

Gaza Ministry of Health:
▪The worsening crisis of a shortage of generator oils in hospitals makes it more difficult to continue operating them to meet the daily need for electricity. ▪The limited quantities of oils allowed to be brought in during the past period are emergency quantities that are not sufficient for the required operating procedures and technical follow-ups. ▪Many hospital generators urgently need oil changes, and delays expose them to technical and mechanical complications that may lead to their shutdown. ▪The monthly need for generator oils reaches 2500 liters. ▪The past few days have seen a number of generators stop working due to the unavailability of oils, spare parts, and sufficient fuel quantities. ▪The remaining generators in hospitals are operating around the clock under difficult technical and mechanical conditions and cannot cover the needs of vital and life-saving departments. ▪The Ministry of Health calls on all concerned parties to urgently intervene to bring in the emergency requirements to ensure the continued operation of the generators.
