Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi: "The Peace Council" has turned into an ineffective framework due to its loss of the tools needed to pressure the Israeli occupation
Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi:
▪ "The Peace Council" has turned into an ineffective framework due to its loss of the tools needed to pressure the Israeli occupation, and relied on public relations to persuade it to implement its commitments, which the latter fully rejects.
▪ The council and the parties sponsoring it failed to turn promises into practical steps that would end the war and address the comprehensive humanitarian tragedy and relief efforts in the Gaza Strip.
▪ The decisions of "The Peace Council" have turned into ink on paper like all international decisions when it comes to "Israel", while leaving the severe humanitarian suffering of our people ongoing.
▪ The remaining period of the council's term until the end of 2027 will be spent by "Israel" in delay and stalling without providing anything, which made it a formal framework devoid of practical value.
▪ What is required of "The Peace Council" is to identify the obstructing party that refuses to stop the war and turns the living and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip into a permanent and sustainable reality.
