Egyptian Committee: Flour trucks begin moving to Gaza to support bakeries and ease the bread crisis

The Egyptian Committee in the Gaza Strip announced the start of moving trucks loaded with flour into the Strip, amid a severe shortage of this material and rising bread prices. It said the step aims to support bakeries and strengthen their ability to continue operating, help provide bread to citizens at affordable prices, and curb exploitation of their need and unjustified price increases. It confirmed that this step comes as part of Egyptian humanitarian efforts to support Palestinian families and continue bringing in aid and essential supplies to alleviate the suffering of residents. The committee stressed the continuation of its field and humanitarian work in cooperation with the concerned authorities and the UN system to meet urgent needs and respond to citizens’ appeals, affirming that the people of Gaza are not alone and that Egypt will remain a support for the Palestinian people.
