▪The occupation committed a new brutal crime last night, as occupation drones of the “Quadcopter” type, at exactly 8:00 p.m., set fire to an entire camp for displaced people at the Shuja'iyya junction.
▪The flames continued to consume the tents of the displaced and their simple belongings for several continuous hours until after midnight last night, in a scene that reflects the height of criminality, sadism, and the absence of the slightest level of humanity.
▪This barbaric aggression caused damage to and displacement of more than 200 Palestinian displaced families, including more than 800 displaced people, the vast majority of them women, children, the elderly, and the sick.
▪The occupation’s deliberate burning of the tents led to a state of extreme panic, fear, and terror among the safe families, leaving them once again displaced in the open, without shelter or an alternative that would protect them from the harshness of the conditions, in a clear entrenchment of the policy of forced displacement and continued displacement.
▪We strongly condemn the “Israeli” occupation army’s burning of the tents of the displaced and their deliberate displacement, and we consider this a fully-fledged war crime and a crime against humanity that constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions that guarantee the protection of civilians in times of conflict.
▪We hold the “Israeli” occupation and the U.S. administration fully and directly responsible for the continued path of genocide and the targeting of tents and shelters for the displaced, as these crimes are committed under full political and military cover and amid unjustified international silence.
▪We call on the international community, the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and all human rights organizations to break their suspicious silence, intervene immediately and urgently, and exert effective pressure to stop the genocide war and the ongoing cycle of burning and destruction against unarmed civilians.
▪We appeal to all relief, international, and UN institutions working in the Gaza Strip to move urgently and immediately to assist the families displaced from the Shuja'iyya junction and provide tents, alternative shelter, and essential supplies for them on an emergency basis to save them from the humanitarian catastrophe they were forced into.

Palestine Islamic Jihad Movement: ▪On this day in 1995, Dr. Fathi Shiqaqi, founder of the Palestine Islamic Jihad Movement and one of the most prominent Palestinian national figures who elevated the Palestinian cause to new levels of struggle and conflict with the occupation, was martyred following a treacherous assassination carried out by the Zionist Mossad in Malta. ▪Martyr Shiqaqi redefined the conflict with the Zionist occupation within the framework of the comprehensive Western assault directed at the heart of our Arab and Islamic nation, as the spearhead of the Western military attack that targets not only Palestine but also the fragmentation of the peoples of our nation, the division of our homelands, and the imposition of Westernization and total dependency through terrorism and ongoing wars, warning that the danger of the Zionist project does not stop at the borders of Palestine alone, but seeks to expand and impose hegemony and control over the entire region, control its decision-making, and seize its resources at the expense of its peoples and inhabitants. ▪What the reality is witnessing today, in terms of exposing the Zionist project for what it really is, and what the occupation is practicing in the form of a war of extermination and crimes against humanity, and the expansion of the occupation in Syria and Lebanon, and threats to the peoples of our nation, and attempts to impose domination over the region with unlimited Western support and under direct supervision from the US administration, confirms the danger of the Zionist project to everyone. ▪We reiterate the principles established by the martyred doctor and his brothers, namely the ضرورة of considering Palestine as the central cause of the Arab and Islamic peoples, as a symbol of the nation’s dignity and one of the most prominent factors of its unity in confronting Western and Zionist schemes, and that the path of jihad and resistance is the only way to confront these schemes, and that faith, awareness, revolution, and the unity of the national and Islamic ranks are the necessary tools to achieve that. ▪Dr. Shiqaqi’s thought, may God have mercy on him, bore fruit in transferring the confrontation with the occupation into the occupied land itself, and in the heroic steadfastness of the Al-Quds Brigades, alongside the rest of the resistance forces and their military wings, in confronting the occupation and facing it on many occasions, offering in that cause the best of its leaders, cadres, and sons with all pride and honor. ▪Through its brave battalions in the West Bank, the Brigades were at the forefront of the clashes with the occupation army in the West Bank camps and cities, in defense of our land and our holy sites, foremost among them the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. ▪On this occasion, we affirm our commitment to the principles for which we set out, and that we will spare no effort to defend our people in Gaza, bring aid into the Strip, force the withdrawal of the enemy army, reconstruction, restore internal unity, and thwart the occupation’s projects in the West Bank and Jerusalem. ▪May God have mercy on martyr leader Fathi Shiqaqi, who represented a living model of the field intellectual who engages in the causes of his people and nation, practices his convictions as field action, inspires the revolution, and strengthens determination in the hearts of generations. ▪He offered his pure soul and his precious blood for the sake of God in defense of the sanctities of the nation and its dignity.
