Al-Awda Complex: 1 killed and 10 injured after Israeli forces bombed a gathering of citizens near Salah al-Din Street in al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip

5 people injured, including serious cases, in an Israeli strike that targeted a group of civilians near Al-Raed Tower on Salah al-Din Street in Al-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza Strip

▪The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip reported that a six-story residential building collapsed in Gaza City, leaving dozens of people under the rubble, including children, women, and the elderly.

▪The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip said the building was housing about one hundred people, and that Civil Defense teams, in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Gaza Municipality, managed to rescue 16 people initially, while 14 bodies, including 6 children, have been recovered so far, with missing persons still under the rubble. ▪These developments place an urgent humanitarian and legal responsibility on the international community and the guarantor states of the ceasefire, as the continued presence of those trapped under the rubble and the shortage of equipment pose a direct threat to the right to life and require immediate measures to reach and rescue them. ▪According to the statement, there are dozens of cracked buildings, and the approach of winter is worsening the risks amid large numbers of displaced people in fragile shelters. This requires urgent treatment of buildings at risk of collapse and the provision of the equipment and machinery needed to respond to collapse and rescue situations. ▪The message emphasizes that the protection of civilians is not limited to a ceasefire, but also includes ensuring continued protection, rescue, and relief when they are exposed to danger, and that the right to life requires practical measures to save people missing under the rubble, regardless of where they are located. ▪We call on the international community, the guarantor states of the ceasefire, and the relevant international and humanitarian bodies to work urgently to facilitate the entry of heavy rescue equipment and machinery, enable Civil Defense teams to carry out their duties without obstacles, provide technical and logistical support to address cracked buildings and collapse cases, and take the measures necessary to protect civilians and displaced people from risks during the winter. ▪Dealing with this disaster cannot be delayed, and priority must remain on rescuing those who can be rescued from under the rubble. Protecting civilians remains a responsibility that requires immediate practical measures to prevent further loss of life.

Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas:

▪The humanitarian tragedy witnessed in Gaza City with the collapse of the Al-Saadah building on its residents and the displaced people sheltering there, and the fall of a number of victims, with about one hundred citizens still missing under the rubble; reveals a new chapter in the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the war and destruction left by the occupation in the Gaza Strip. ▪We hold the occupation responsible for this disaster, as it is a direct extension of the war of extermination in the Strip; the occupation's crimes have not been limited to shelling civilians, destroying their homes, and committing massacres, but continue through the consequences of the collapse of damaged buildings that citizens had taken refuge in seeking shelter. ▪The severe shortage of rubble-removal machinery and rescue equipment needed to search for those trapped under the Al-Saadah building threatens the loss of more civilian lives as the critical hours pass, which requires urgent international action to bring in heavy machinery and rescue equipment and enable crews to reach those trapped and save those still alive. ▪We warn of a broader humanitarian disaster in light of the Civil Defense's announcement that there are about two thousand dilapidated, inhabited buildings threatened with collapse, which exposes the lives of thousands of citizens to a real and ongoing danger. ▪The movement's leadership has repeatedly, during its previous meetings and contacts with mediators and international parties, called for the urgent need to act to stop the humanitarian disaster caused by the occupation, whose repercussions continue in the Gaza Strip. ▪We call on the mediators, the U.S. administration, and the relevant international parties to assume their responsibilities and work immediately to remove the restrictions that prevent the entry of rescue equipment and the necessary machinery, and to secure the means of safe shelter for our people who were forced to live in damaged buildings threatened with collapse.

Gaza Strip Municipalities Union:

▪ We are following with deep sadness and sorrow the incident of the collapse of a six-story residential building in the Al-Sinaa area of Gaza City at dawn on Wednesday, which led to the martyrdom of a number of martyrs and injured people, and there are still missing persons, including children, women and the elderly, amid the continued search and rescue efforts and the recovery of those trapped fromUnder the rubble since the incident occurred. ▪ We extend our sincerest condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, asking Almighty God to envelop them in His vast mercy, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect citizens from all harm. ▪ The urgent priority at this moment is saving lives, providing first aid to the injured, and evacuating those trapped and the martyrs from under the rubble, which requires immediate intervention by providing heavy equipment and machinery to enable teams to reach the victims and save them as quickly as possible, as municipal and rescue work is facing a severe shortage of the necessary heavy equipment and machinery, in addition to a shortage of spare parts, oils, and operating supplies for old machinery and equipment. ▪ The danger of the continued collapse of buildings will affect thousands of buildings at risk of collapse in all governorates of the Gaza Strip as a result of the bombardment during the war of extermination and the severe damage that followed, and the inability of municipalities and civil defense to remove them, which poses a direct threat to the lives of citizens and warns of further disasters if urgent intervention is not made. ▪ We call on the international community, humanitarian institutions, donor agencies, and all relevant parties to intervene immediately and urgently in order to: - Provide the heavy machinery and equipment necessary for search and rescue operations and rubble removal. - Support rescue teams and enable them to provide first aid to the injured and evacuate them, and evacuate the martyrs and missing persons as quickly as possible. - Provide spare parts, oils, and maintenance and operating supplies for heavy machinery and equipment. - Bring safe mobile homes (caravans) into the Gaza Strip before the onset of winter to be used as a safe alternative to tents and buildings at risk of collapse, and to provide shelter that preserves the lives and dignity of affected families, especially with the risks to buildings in winter from rain, winds, and harsh weather conditions. ▪ We affirm that time is a critical factor in saving and preserving lives, and that the continued shortage of equipment and capabilities constitutes an obstacle to rescue efforts and emergency response. ▪ We call for urgent and immediate action before more victims fall, with thousands of citizens threatened as a result of damaged and at-risk buildings at risk of collapse.

At least 20 martyrs, including 5 children, were recovered, while search operations continue for dozens of missing people under the rubble following the collapse of a residential building damaged by a previous Israeli airstrike in the industrial area west of Gaza City
