Tekstgrootte:

▪We strongly condemn the continued and escalating targeting by the Israeli occupation of Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which was the horrific crime that claimed the lives of women killed in the targeting of "Asala Tower," in a scene that reflects the depth of the tragedy and the genocide affecting everyone without distinction.

▪Statistics issued by the Ministry of Health indicate the killing of 11900 women during the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, which calls for emphasis that targeting women and depriving them of their inherent right to life and safety, regardless of their ages or religions, constitutes a blatant violation of human dignity and a complete repudiation of the rules of international humanitarian law and the conventions that require the protection of civilians in times of war.

▪Women in Gaza are not numbers in casualty statistics, but mothers, daughters, and sisters united by a shared fate and the legitimate right to life, dignity, and safety.

▪We call on the international community, human rights and UN institutions, and women’s and children’s protection bodies to break their silence and assume their moral and legal responsibilities.

▪We stress the need for urgent action to pressure the occupation to stop targeting civilians and women and to activate international accountability and prosecution tools to ensure it does not evade punishment for these violations.
