Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine: We mourn the martyrs Ashraf Dahlan, Shadi Abu Atiya and Sami Baroud, employees of the Islamic University security staff

Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine: ▪We mourn the martyrs Ashraf Dahlan, Shadi Abu Atiya and Sami Baroud, employees of the Islamic University security staff, who were killed while on duty, and extend our deepest condolences to their families, the university administration, and their female and male colleagues. ▪The Israeli occupation’s targeting of the university with two airstrikes, coinciding with the start of regular in-person classes, represents an attack on efforts toward social recovery in the Gaza Strip, the restoration of its educational and national institutions, and the resumption of the educational process. ▪We call on academic and educational institutions around the world to stand in solidarity with the universities of the Gaza Strip, which are facing a systematic Israeli targeting that affects educational institutions and the conditions for their continuity, as part of the comprehensive war of extermination on the Palestinian presence in the Strip. ▪We call on free people of the world to escalate solidarity action and pressure governments to take serious positions and measures that put an end to the occupation’s crimes, the war of extermination, and the plans of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi:

▪ The continued killing crimes committed by terrorist settlers and fascist occupation forces against the Palestinian people in the West Bank are an extension of the genocidal war committed by the criminal Netanyahu government in the Gaza Strip before the hearing and sight of the world, which has not put an end to the occupation’s fascism and bloodshed. ▪ We mourn the young martyr Omar Muhammad Tubasi (20 years old), who was killed after being hit by settlers’ bullets during their attack, under the protection of the occupation army, on the town of Hajja, east of Qalqiliya, and we affirm that the escalating Israeli terrorism through systematic killing will be broken on the rock of our people’s resistance, steadfastness, and determination to remain on their land and not leave it to the scum of the earth. ▪ We call on all components of our proud Palestinian people and their national forces to seriously stand before what the Palestinian cause is being subjected to in terms of liquidation operations, land seizure, and the killing of our people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and to work behind a unified plan to protect the land, people, and holy sites from the expansion of the occupation and its settlers. ▪ We affirm that the world’s silence and that of its institutions in the face of this widespread Zionist terrorism, backed by Netanyahu’s government and its criminal ministers, is direct complicity with the occupation’s crimes and disregard for the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and to remain on their land.

Gaza Ministry of Economy:

More than one ton of expired biscuit varieties was seized during an inspection tour in Gaza, and legal procedures were taken against the violators.

Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail al-Thawabta:

▪ The campaigns to destroy food items carried out by teams from the Ministry of National Economy in the Gaza Strip come within the framework of the government duty to protect the health of citizens from consuming spoiled goods that are unfit for human consumption. ▪ We categorically deny the occupation's claims of there being a surplus of food or the absence of the famine that is striking the Strip. ▪ The occupation is trying to exploit scenes of destroying some goods to promote the idea that markets are full of food items, and this is nothing but exposed and blatant media disinformation and a desperate attempt to evade legal and moral responsibility. ▪ These false claims aim to obscure the systematic starvation policy to which more than 2.4 million Palestinians are being subjected, who lack the most basic elements of essential food security. ▪ The items being destroyed are, in essence, food shipments that were deliberately spoiled as a result of the occupation's own policies. ▪ The occupation deliberately held cargo and aid trucks for very long periods at the crossings under direct sunlight and in unhealthy conditions. ▪ The occupation's continued ban on bringing in the fuel needed to operate storage refrigerators in warehouses led to these materials rotting and expiring before they reached citizens' hands. ▪ We stress that consumer protection teams affiliated with the Ministry of Economy are carrying out their strict monitoring role to control markets and prevent any attempts to promote these spoiled goods, which could cause a health disaster and a spread of food poisoning, which would double the size of the current humanitarian and medical catastrophe. ▪ Destroying these damaged goods is further evidence of the brutality of the siege and the worsening suffering, not the opposite, as the Palestinian citizen is deprived of access to sound food while the occupation tries to falsify reality and market the illusion of abundance to justify the continued closure of crossings, the tightening of the siege, and the restriction of the entry of relief aid. ▪ We call on the international community and UN institutions not to be drawn into the occupation's false narrative and to intervene urgently to break the siege and fully open the crossings to bring in thousands of stacked trucks of sound food and medical aid to end the real and devastating famine that is ravaging the people of our nation in the Gaza Strip.
