Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas: ▪The decision of the extremist minister Itamar Ben Gvir to annex 11 settlements in the occupied West Bank to the areas eligible for firearms licenses represents an escalation in the occupation's policy of killing, terrorism, arming settlers, and giving them free rein to attack our Palestinian people. It constitutes an explicit call for killing and displacement, and an additional cover for committing more crimes against citizens, their land, and their property. ▪This decision once again confirms the state of coordination between the terrorist occupation government and settler gangs in targeting our people. ▪We warn against the continuation of the occupation's approach based on killing and crimes, and we affirm that these decisions will not succeed in breaking the will of our people and their steadfastness, or in stopping the momentum of resistance and confrontation. ▪We call on our people in the valiant West Bank to unite all national and popular efforts, and to activate all tools of resistance to confront the occupation's crimes and thwart the plans of annexation, displacement, and settlement. ▪We call on the international community, the United Nations, and its institutions to assume their responsibilities toward the occupation's systematic conduct, and to move urgently to stop arming settlers and their crimes against our people, hold occupation leaders accountable for their incitement and support for settler terrorism, and stop the ongoing attacks on our people and our land.

Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas: ▪ We announce our rejection of the appointments and unilateral steps related to the formation of the Palestinian National Council, and consider them a breach of the recent Cairo understandings, a violation of the principle of national partnership, the imposition of political realities before the national dialogue, and an infringement on our Palestinian people’s right to choose who represents them. ▪ We affirm that the National Council represents an inclusive institution that must not be formed unilaterally, and that it must reflect the will of our people in the homeland and the diaspora, and ensure the participation of all its components and national forces on democratic bases. ▪ We call for the immediate halt of all unilateral measures, and for commitment to resuming the national dialogue with the participation of all forces and factions without exception, in order to agree on rebuilding the institutions of the Palestinian political system, and setting specific dates and mechanisms for the presidential and legislative elections and the elections of the National Council, with the participation of our people at home and abroad. ▪ We affirm that dialogue constitutes the main entry point to uniting the national ranks, rebuilding the Palestine Liberation Organization on democratic bases, and agreeing on a national strategy and program to confront the occupation’s schemes that target our people, our land, and our Islamic and Christian holy sites.
