Palestinian Mujahideen Movement:
▪The collapse of the six-story residential building "al-Saada," which had previously been bombed by the occupation, onto its residents of displaced people and the adjacent tents in the al-Sina'a Street area west of Gaza City, and the fall of many martyrs (killed) and the presence of about 60 people between wounded and missing, reveals the scale of the extended crime committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, and the destruction left by the aggression, with buildings on the verge of collapse threatening the lives of civilians. ▪The continued siege and the prevention of bringing in the equipment and machinery necessary to remove the rubble and the recovery of bodies (from under the rubble) of martyrs (killed) and the missing, amid the limited capabilities of civil defense and municipal crews, exacerbate the humanitarian tragedy and obstruct rescue efforts, as well as prevent the start of the recovery and reconstruction process and leave our people facing the effects of destruction and aggression. ▪We hold the occupation fully responsible for the continued suffering of our people, the continuation of the siege, and the continuation of the war of extermination and aggression. We also hold the international community responsible for its silence and inability to stop these crimes and disrupt reconstruction, and we call for urgent and effective action to end this suffering, lift the siege, and open the way for relief, recovery, and reconstruction. ▪We call on the free people of the world to continue their movements and solidarity stances with our people, and to escalate popular and international pressure in order to break the siege and stop the unjust and ongoing war against the sons of our Palestinian people, and to work to bring in rescue and relief equipment and reconstruction supplies without restrictions.
Recovery of at least 11 martyrs and continued search for dozens of missing under the rubble after the collapse of a residential building previously damaged by an Israeli strike in the Al-Sina'a area west of Gaza City
Gaza Mayor Yahya al-Sarraj:
▪ This morning, with deep anger and sorrow, we received the news of the deaths of women, children, and the elderly in the collapse of a residential building in Gaza City. ▪ The incident is not the first and may not be the last unless urgent intervention is made and the necessary equipment is brought in to rescue and rehabilitate the damaged buildings. ▪ Despite repeated warnings to the international community, organizations, and institutions, Israeli obstinacy in allowing equipment in deprives Palestinians of living in safety and dignity. ▪ Concern is increasing with the approaching winter season, strong winds, and heavy rains that may lead to collapses and similar incidents. ▪ Despite warning citizens not to approach buildings that are on the verge of collapse, they do not find suitable places to live because of the lack of alternatives. ▪ We appeal for the entry of temporary housing, saving people's lives, and providing the basic necessities of life; the Palestinian people are not numbers but human beings who deserve a dignified life. ▪ We demand the entry of the materials necessary to operate hospitals and public and health facilities and to provide the basic needs of the population. ▪ We hope that this incident will be a turning point that calls for urgent and rapid action to prevent the recurrence of tragedies and save the lives of residents.

Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal:
▪ Gaza City witnessed a tragic scene in the middle of last night after the collapse of the "Al-Saada" building over dozens of displaced families who had taken refuge there due to the lack of shelters. ▪ The building consists of 6 floors, and each floor has 4 residential apartments, and it was targeted at the beginning of the war. ▪ About 100 people are still missing under the rubble of the building, while Civil Defense teams have managed to pull out 9 people, including children and women. ▪ The occupation's refusal to allow in sufficient equipment and supplies hinders the rescue of victims and humanitarian intervention in the manner they deserve. ▪ About 2000 damaged buildings threatened with collapse are still inhabited by residents due to the lack of alternatives or sufficient spaces to establish shelter centers. ▪ We call on Nikolay Mladenov, the direct official in the "Peace Council" responsible for Gaza, to urgently intervene and assume his responsibilities regarding this tragic event and this disaster. ▪ We call on the international community and the guarantor states of the ceasefire to urgently intervene and provide excavators, heavy equipment and bulldozers to prevent new collapses. ▪ Thousands of missing persons are still under the rubble without the ability to retrieve them with the necessary means.
