Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas:

▪The continued daily killing in Gaza is described as an escalation of the ongoing war of extermination. ▪The movement says that the continued daily killing of women and children in the Gaza Strip, as happened today, represents an escalation of the ongoing war of extermination despite the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Sharm el-Sheikh about a year ago. ▪The movement affirms that the silence of the Peace Council and its institutions, and its inability to describe the occupation as the party working to sabotage the agreement, is unacceptable and must not continue. ▪It points out that attempts by the Peace Council, Meladinov, and the American mediator to find justifications for the occupation’s crimes, while taking into account the upcoming Israeli elections in dealing with its violations, may provide cover for the continuation of these crimes and undermine the ceasefire agreement. ▪The movement calls on the Arab and Islamic countries participating in the Peace Council to take a clear and practical stance toward the occupation’s crimes and ongoing violations, while noting the Council’s inability to stop them despite Palestinian commitment to the ceasefire agreement.

Ismail Al-Thawabta:

▪ We warn of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe facing the health sector as a result of the occupation’s prevention of the entry of medicines and medical supplies, especially treatments for chronic diseases and dialysis consumables. ▪ More than 350,000 patients with chronic diseases face the risk of serious complications or death due to the continued deprivation of their regular medicines and the continuation of the medicine blockade. ▪ Hundreds of kidney failure patients are threatened with direct death due to the severe shortage of filters and dialysis supplies and the decline in hospitals’ ability to provide sufficient sessions. ▪ About 10,000 cancer patients are suffering under harsh conditions and a total lack of specialized medicines and the suspension of life-saving treatment protocols. ▪ The occupation’s deliberate prevention of the entry of life-saving medicines is considered a measure that may amount to a slow and systematic execution of patients, and goes beyond military measures to become a main tool of genocide. ▪ The medicine blockade constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, which guarantee the protection of patients and the provision of medical care to them. ▪ The medicine blockade comes as part of a calculated plan to take what remains of the health system out of service and make Gaza an uninhabitable environment. ▪ We call on the international community, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization to intervene immediately and apply real pressure to open the crossings and bring in medical convoys and specialized medicines urgently and sustainably. ▪ We also call for facilitating the urgent medical evacuation of critical cases, especially cancer and kidney patients, to receive treatment abroad before it is too late. ▪ We call on international human rights institutions to document the crime of the medicine blockade and hold the occupation’s leaders accountable before the International Criminal Court for their ongoing crimes against patients and the health system.

Ministry of Social Development in Gaza:

▪We warn of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of displaced families. ▪Reports and data issued by United Nations institutions reflect a critical humanitarian reality, as follows: ▪Situation of the displaced: There are currently between 1.2 and 1.5 million displaced people living in overcrowded, exposed camps that lack the most basic necessities of life. ▪Deterioration of shelter centers: 70% to 80% of the current tents and shelters have suffered damage and complete deterioration due to changing weather conditions and the long period of use. ▪Urgent needs: The minimum required to aid affected families calls for immediate intervention to provide 200000 new tents and 300000 plastic tarpaulins resistant to weather conditions. ▪We call on international parties and humanitarian organizations to act urgently and lift the ban on the entry of relief shipments to address the situation before an unintended humanitarian disaster occurs.

Raji Sourani:

▪ What is happening in Gaza cannot be separated from its historical context and the siege imposed on it since 2006. ▪ Palestinians have been exposed over the past years to a series of wars and violations that preceded 7 October 2023. ▪ The continued violations in Gaza require activating international law, holding those responsible accountable, protecting civilians, and applying the rules of international law away from political calculations. ▪ The Convention on the Prevention of Genocide obliges states to prevent it, and the situation in Gaza places the international community before a legal and moral responsibility. ▪ The latest war caused widespread destruction and a deterioration in food, water and medicine, and the displacement of large numbers, and these facts require investigation and accountability. ▪ Providing political cover for violations obstructs accountability, and international judicial institutions must be able to carry out their duties independently. ▪ The destruction of civilian facilities, targeting the health sector and depriving the population of basic needs raises serious legal issues. ▪ The existence of the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice provides frameworks for investigation and accountability, and judicial proceedings must continue away from political pressure. ▪ International law should not be applied selectively, and civilians' rights must be protected in various parts of the world. ▪ Achieving justice may take years, but that does not justify abandoning the legal path, documenting violations and preserving evidence. ▪ The 2026 Hrant Dink International Award is not a personal matter, but rather a message of support for the Palestinian human rights community and for the victims. ▪ The essence of the issue is ensuring dignity and justice, applying international law, and activating accountability mechanisms.
