Gaza & Palestine
The Resistance Committees in Palestine:
▪The collapse of the “Al-Saada” building on dozens of displaced families and the remaining dozens under the rubble, including children and women, embodies the scale of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, where death pursues our people under bombardment, amid the rubble, in cracked buildings and tents, in light of the lack of safe shelter and the continued siege and deprivation. ▪We hold the U.S. administration and the envoy of what is called the “Council of Peace” directly politically and morally responsible for the continuation of this tragedy, and we call on them to move from statements and appeals to immediate action that compels the Zionist criminals to stop their crimes, open the crossings, and allow in the necessary supplies for rescue. ▪We call on the international community and the United Nations to move urgently to stop the bloodshed, provide tents, prefabricated housing and shelter materials, and allow in excavators, bulldozers, cranes, fuel, and search-and-rescue equipment, and to enable civil defense teams to reach the missing and extract those trapped under the rubble. ▪The continued deprivation of Gaza from rescue, shelter, and relief equipment is not merely a shortcoming but a humanitarian crime, for which the responsible, complicit, and silent parties bear responsibility. Every minute of delay may mean the loss of another life, a family buried under the rubble, and a tragedy that is difficult to contain. ▪Gaza does not need more statements and promises, but immediate international action that saves lives, protects the displaced, and prevents further collapses; whoever has the ability to stop this catastrophe and does not act bears the responsibility of their silence before history and humanity.

The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine:
▪Today marks the forty-fourth anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre of Palestinian refugees in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, one of the most horrific massacres committed by the Zionist entity and its collaborators, who overran the camp neighborhoods for three days and nights and practiced forms of barbarity, killing hundreds of children and women, beheading and mutilating limbs, tearing open bellies and gouging out eyes, along with field executions, abduction, and enforced disappearance, affecting nearly four thousand Palestinian refugees and hundreds of Lebanese citizens. ▪That massacre would not have happened without the American deception and the failure of international and regional pledges to provide protection for the camps and civilians, leaving them prey to bloodthirsty criminals. ▪The world’s silence and the failure to hold accountable those responsible for the Sabra and Shatila massacre for decades, despite the availability of evidence and documented testimonies, encouraged the birth of new criminals in the usurping entity who commit crimes against humanity and continue a war of extermination against the peoples of our region, especially our Palestinian people and the brotherly Lebanese people, openly and without restraint, as is happening today in the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, southern Lebanon, and southern Syria. ▪The bloody history of the Zionist entity, full of massacres and treachery, and the failure of the so-called international community and the misplaced reliance on its institutions, which are sometimes complicit and often incapable, are lessons our peoples have learned, history has recorded, and the memory of the generations of our nation has preserved. ▪We call on our people to confront suspicious projects that aim to erase the right of return and liquidate the Palestinian cause, and to strengthen internal unity away from narrow calculations and agendas, in order to preserve the security of the camps and their surroundings and foil the schemes targeting them.

Gaza Government Media Office:
▪The six-story Al-Saada building collapsed on the heads of dozens of displaced families, amid the absence of safe and alternative shelter places. ▪The building was directly targeted during the war, which weakened its structure and led to its collapse. ▪The fate of dozens of children and women remains unknown under the rubble, and difficulties continue in rescue operations and retrieving victims. ▪The occupation continues to prevent the entry of the equipment and machinery needed for rescue operations. ▪The incident adds to more than 8,500 missing persons who are still under the rubble in various parts of the Gaza Strip. ▪We warn of the risk of the collapse of thousands of cracked buildings that are still inhabited by residents and displaced people. ▪We hold the Israeli occupation and the international community responsible for the catastrophe and its repercussions. ▪We call for lifting the siege, opening the crossings, and urgently allowing the entry of rescue and civil defense equipment and machinery, and humanitarian aid.

Mohammad Abu Dan:
▪ Before dawn today, a residential building collapsed onto displaced people who were inside it as a result of its foundations cracking due to a previous Israeli bombardment in Gaza City. ▪ More than 10 families were residing in the 5-storey building, which has a population of more than 70 people. ▪ The building had been bombed previously, and the displaced people were forced to live in it due to the lack of other shelters. ▪ Civil defense teams are making efforts to save what can be saved and recover the victims from under the building's rubble. ▪ Rescue operations and the search for victims or survivors are taking place with extreme difficulty due to the lack of resources and necessary equipment. ▪ The civil defense agency lacks the heavy equipment needed to deal with such incidents. ▪ We have sought assistance from the Egyptian committee and the International Committee of the Red Cross to help recover the victims and save what can be saved from under the rubble.
